Duo Fraternitates Lodge was consecrated (formed) on 9^th June 1985. It was the brainchild of W/Bro Harry Fletcher a prominent Freemason and Scouter in the Province of Bedfordshire. Its aim was to promote those great virtues which one found in such ample forms in both Freemasonry and Scouting. This is exemplified in the name DUO FRATERNITATES a simple translation of which is “two brotherhoods”.

The lodge is situated in Luton and over the course of time the members of the lodge have changed and a change of brethren has in turn brought a change of ideas.  For example, a background in scouting is no longer a prerequisite to becoming a member.  We still aim to maintain the enlightened ideals of our predecessors and have fun in our charitable fundraising efforts.
